How Long Does It Generally Take To See Lipiflow Results?

I was told first two weeks tend to be worse as all the oil in your eyes has been expelled. Then at 4 weeks things should begin to improve, with maximum improvement at 3 months.
I have follow up appointments at 1 month and 3 months for this reason

I had lipiflow July 27th. About 10-11 days after my eyes started to release oils.
For reference my eyes glands were all blocked before. Just two lower glands on each eye were not blocked.
So a big change. Im seeing oil come out of most glands now.

I begin monthly IPL August 29th.
Im not actually doing warm compress now but morning and night i do 20 minute warm/hot baths with my head under the water. Scrub my lids under the water. 2 cups epsom salt and 1/4 cup pink himalayan salt in the bath.
Im worried they will get blocked again.
Had a schirmers done finally.
Right eye 17.
Left eye 12.
I also had a slit lamp with dye test a few days ago. Zero staining on my cornea.
So my issue was entirely blocked glands and they seem to be unblocked and producing thin, clear oil. Seems like a miracle to me.

Kabuto , everyone is different. You might need more than one LipiFlow treatment, or a combination of treatments like LipiFlow + IPL before you see any impact. Or you might be like me and not eee any improvement from LipiFlow...I ultimately had to have probing because I had scar tissue, which LipiFlow and IPL cannot unblock.

According to Dr Korb who invented the procedure it will take more than one treatment to undo years of damage. He said that if you are blocked up and you feel better after one treatment it is placebo. I would be prepared to do several treatments or better yet IPL if it is available.
He said that the eye was never designed to stare at a screen and the act of staring blocks the instinct ot blink so you blink 60% less than normal. This results in the oils congealing in the glands because it is the act of blinking that releases them. In time the glands atrophy and stop working at all. Just watch someone near you in a restaurant using a cell phone or tablet and watch how rarely they blink...it is scary, I want to run over to them and warn them of the danger. Sorry I am rattling...

I will disagree that it is entirely placebo. 3 weeks ago i was bedridden and had almost zero tear fulm because only 2 lower glands on each eye produced oil.
Today after i take a long epsom salt bath i can easily press on my eyelids and get oil out of most my glands. Its miracle level improvement. Not a placebo.
im starting IPL in two weeks and will do this at least 6 times to see what happens as i have mild roscesa anyways its likely to be very helpful.
I may also get lipiflow again in a few months, especially if i notice blockages starting again.
I guess my main point is: i was in intense pain and have gotten much better. Not just placebo because i was doing warm compress 4 times a day before and couldnt unblock those glands. Lipiflow did. $900 isnt cheap though.

I'm encouraged by your results, but rmb this is just the beginning. I am a bit skeptical on using salts to wash your eyes, feels like it might cause more inflammation. If you really want to scrub your eyes, you can try those MGD hygiene products available on amazon.com -- i.e., tree tea oil scrubs such as claridex; or ocusoft wipes .

If you want to try it yourself as an experiment i think you would become a believer.
My eyes and inner eyelids go from red to normal after the bath. Takes out all the inflammation. I feel perfect afterwards.
I dont open my eyes under the water.
But after 10-15 minute soak i lightly rub my eyelids under the water. When i look at my eyelid margins afterwards in the 20x mirror The eyelid margin is very clean looking. No built up skin.
I suggest everyone at least try it. Life saver literally for me.
