My eyes and inner eyelids go from red to normal after the bath. Takes out all the inflammation. I feel perfect afterwards.

I dont open my eyes under the water.

But after 10-15 minute soak i lightly rub my eyelids under the water. When i look at my eyelid margins afterwards in the 20x mirror The eyelid margin is very clean looking. No built up skin.

I suggest everyone at least try it. Life saver literally for me.
Of course this is my opinion, I have no evidence to support otherwise, but my opinion/belief is that short-term symptomatic relief may not be a good thing long term. I would suggest you to consult w/ your doctor about this.

My logic is that the it is an unknown interaction when the salts interact w ur eyes, I have a feeling it might cause long-term inflammation problems.

Once again, this is just my opinion, and I have no scientific evidence to back me otherwise. I would suggest you to consult w/ a few doctors about this.

If the intention is to clean your lid margins, you can clean your lid margins with other known safe methods -- i.e., the MGD wipes I mentioned earlier which are prescribed by drs frequently and designed specifically for MGD.

Hey, what ever works, right. I am so happy that you have such stellar results from something so simple. Not as easy for us ladies whose hairdo is a little more difficult than yours to maintain...lol. I understand from your previous post that you do this 2x per day am I correct? Do I assume you had the Lipiflow within the last 3 weeks.

If you have one lipiflow and get great results that is awesome but will not always be the case so should realistically not be the expectation..

He said that the eye was never designed to stare at a screen and the act of staring blocks the instinct ot blink so you blink 60% less than normal. This results in the oils congealing in the glands because it is the act of blinking that releases them. In time the glands atrophy and stop working at all. Just watch someone near you in a restaurant using a cell phone or tablet and watch how rarely they blink...it is scary, I want to run over to them and warn them of the danger. Sorry I am rattling...
I was watching that video again last night and note that I should clarify that his statement about placebo was that if you are chronic, meaning have had the condition for more than 3 years (like me), then one treatment of anything will not produce immediate results and if it does it is placebo. So for sure results will vary depending on how chronic you are.

I feel sorry for you. Hope you find an effective way to keep your glands open.

New here, first post. I had Lipiflow on the 10th august. The first few days felt a lot worse than pre treatment, but was told that that was normal. Currently i have yet to see any improvement, but looking online, there seems to be no consensus whatsoever on how long it takes to feel improvement. some people say they feel better immediately, most FAQs state between 2 and 4 weeks, others a few months and some are avid in seeing Lipiflow as a waste of money that does nothing.
Is the symptom relief a gradual thing over the weeks, or will i suddenly start feeling relief over a few days?
As it has only been 9 days, with no sign of improvement yet, am i too early in worrying that it has failed?
For reference i am 22 year old and male and have suffered dry eye symptoms since around may time, no inflammation, but completely clogged up glands, i have taken a omega 3 capsule once a day for about 1 to 2 months, and twice daily warm compresses with massage

LipiFlow isn't the cure-all treatment, you need to consider other treatments as well, for example IPL, Xiidra, Restasis can all help improve the quality of your oils.

I was about 10 days and then started to see a little improvement. But other people it takes longer. But as deep dry eye said. Attack from every angle.

You need more fish oil. A product like PNR is good but expensive. But has a lot of fish oil.

Restasis and xiidra. If you are in the usa van also consider Klarity-c drips which have twice as much cyclosporine.
