  • Right lower lid margin always swollen

Hello sorry to start yet another thread! I'm lying here trying to go to sleep but as usual my right eye is being it's normal annoying self.

My left eye produces more tears than my right according to my last schirmer test and generally seems to be ok most of time. My right eye is such a nuisance though and I've noticed for months now that my lower lid margin is always swollen and if I touch it it will fold into my eyeball, I don't know what's causing it to swell, I've looked at all possibilities, does anyone else have this problem, I feel that because it folds in when I blink my glands arent being pressed on so no oil comes out to create stable tear film, this could just be guess but it's only things I can think of. Wish I could work out what was causing swelling, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you

Hello, since this post I've been diagnosed with mgd, two opthalmologists missed this, I've now realised that when my eyes are bad the eyelids of both eyes upper and Lower are swollen and the lid margin thickens, is this caused by the mgd? Dies anyone else notice this who has mgd or could the cause be something else like allergies, I ate more bread than I usually do today and just woke up in pain with eyelids swollen, Thanks
