Ok listen guys, im in no way an expert on the subject and all I have is mild dry eye due to over usage of a laptop with high brightness. My doctor told me its getting more and more common as people use gadgets such as tablets, smartphones that have high brightness but this is detrimental to our eyes.
Everything seems so complicated here, I am not saying its wrong but I mean when I look at the diets forum and section, we seem to be looking for the secret potion. There IS NOT gonna be a CURE for dry eyes EVER. Why? Ophtalmologists and the pharma industry would lose too much money just forget it.
However, like anything else in life, there is a solution. I DO NOT know the different diagnoses about dry eyes. If you have dry eyes due to accutane, computer use and if you have lack of tears and you dont have a complicated diagnosis such as blepharitis, MGD, ROcasea then there is a solution for you. Long story short, if you have evaporative dry eyes then an ophtalmologist would be a better bet for you or speak to a nutritionist as your body might have stopped producing tears. Ive no idea what MGD or blepharitis is im sorry.
All I know is that dry eyes is an inflammation and it can be cured with proper diet and if you have the same diagnosis as mine it can be cured but it takes time and dedication. I was recommend to not use any form of screen (cell phone, computer etc) for 3-4 months and work on diet such as milk, vit c (fruits), water, green tea and omega 3 (thera tears).

With time the inflammation will decrease and after 3-4 months it will completely disappear. I have it since 3 years now and its easier said then done. It takes hard work and with the current boom of technology this isnt easy. Im stuck between finding a job and student life which requires computer use. If my financial situation was better this is something I would have tried. I did try it this summer but after a month I gave up. A month doesnt look like much but lemme tell its a lot of time, it just shows you it takes time. I dont have to do this for 1 month to heal but 3-4 months at least. Hopefully the link I gave you will give you hope. If you have this diagnosis then dont let dry eyes control your life which is something that was happening to me. Its first important to be well psychologically and if you beat this psychologically you will beat it one day physically. For me im in a very complex situation, I want to study in programming soon but I would feel very stupid knowing my eyes wont heal, the timing is very bad for me.
I also think restasis is a waste of time and money and artificial tears too.
