  • An adventure with dry eye

Tomorrow, I am taking the plunge and starting a new life in SE Asia. Kuala Lumpur to be precise.

On my own, off I go, and to keep things interesting, a little dry eye issue in tow. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers - especially as I have 14 hours of flying ahead of me!!

I would not be going if it was not for this website and all the wonderful support and advice I've received in my very short time here.

I look forward to logging in on the other side. As always, any last minute advice would be very welcome.

    Humidity, here I come!

Lots of luck and have an amazing time! My eyes loved the Singapore humidity, never been to KL but heard great things. I'm a little jealous...

Absolutely. I am so glad you're going ahead with this.

I moved to London (from San Francisco) six months after my LASIK eye mess began, back in 2001... transfer within the company I was working for at the time. I really do think that all the chaos of it all was good for me then... distraction factors and all.

As always, any last minute advice would be very welcome.
Drink up, lube up, cover up. That's what DEZ' late Dry Eye Queen (Lucy... most of you are too recent to have known her) used to say... while heading off to Las Vegas despite her eye troubles.

Thank you Rebecca, and thank you for this wonderful forum!

'The Dry Eye Queen' - how fab! I'll be be covering up with those moisture chamber glasses, I wore them for a bit and they feel ok - any bigger and they probably wouldn't do the job.

All the best on your trip and good luck in KL! I do hope alongside the humidity in KL you are able to get autologous serum. I think it will be good for the burning and stinging from FML. How I wish I could move from cold, dry Minnesota. I'm already dreading winter 2015. If it's anything like winter 2014, it will be the end of me. Cheers! ~Gerri

The humidity is great, the A/C everywhere not so much!
