When I asked she said it either because of the picture or maybe you were rubbing this eye more. Anyway I am going to take another pic. Anyway, except that one eyelid, all my gland look healthy.
    Hi ebi
Yes, that is really weird. How could LLT 72 with no glands? You doctor used LipiView? Did you view the pictures by yourself?

I remember Dr. Toyos (1st doctor applied IPL to treat MGD) mentioned about images: glands are there but sometimes pictures can not show them??? It does not mean glands are gone. After IPL, glands will be back (shown)?? Maybe depends on which machine doctor uses as well? Maybe you could tell us about your finding later when you do it again. Thanks.

      Hi

Here is a picture of my gland.

The other doctor who performs manual expression for me, said when he is expressing my lower gland, both left and right producing the same amount of oil. So I am not sure.

I would say, you do have glands - can not tell % (maybe 50%), the image is not so clear.
It would be helpful for us to monitor if LipiView's shows % of loss.
        Thanks for sharing.

I do not know why I am missing so much gland in just one eye and this is the eye with better LLT.
I still hope it is just the picture.

I think the tech. did not pull your lid properly so the image is not clear.
At least your LLT is high so it is tech. error, I would say.
But MGD/obstruction is only one of triggers for dry eye and seems you dont have much issue on this as per image and LLT.

Not perfect yet but it is only a week since my last treatment so hard to tell.

I see one reason why your eyes are so bad. 16 out of 20 partial blinks....yikes your lids rarely meet. Do you do blinking excercises? Did the dr point that out?

Yes she mentioned and I am doing blinking excercise. Do you know how long does it take to see some effects?
                A year?

Gosh no, not that long. If you do them multiple times a day consistently I should think you would see results easily within weeks to a month bearing in mind I am no expert. The exercises are building the muscles that close the eye so if those muscles are weak the eye doesn't close properly. Typically you will see results with any muscle building exercise within weeks to a month.

Thanks for being helpful as always.

I have been doing exercise for a week now. I will keep going.
