Hello! I last went to my appointment a while back i tried punctual plugs but I couldn't tell the difference, i was at 3/4 seconds when I stopped my routine. I've started back up with allergy eye drops and fish oil and my last appointment: i was 6 seconds in both eyes. Is there anyway I can get to 10? I'm only 4 seconds away. It seems so tough to get to ten! I'm not sure what else to do. Nothing is pushing me further than 6 (it seems...). My oil glands are open, i think it's just lack of oil ive been on the fish oil since april i think. Last appointment was in may. I'm glad the fish oil has helped with some dryness, but it's annoying because I don't know if i take it long enough after 6+ mark that maybe I'll get back to 10? I'm on my 4th year with dry eyes. My 1st year was horrible sobbing and not know what was going on, 2nd 3rd and 4tg have helped me get better at a routine that helps its basic but works for me. Thanks to omega fish oil from scope it helps after going through the thera tears, biotears, thera life fish oil, Holland and Barrett, tescos fish oil... just wondering if anyone can give me anymore tips . Woke up with more red veins on my left eye, it's just the dryness thats bugging me i try and blink more often. Thanks!

Hi epicjinx! Glad to see you back, and that’s good news your TBUT has increased to 6 seconds and your glands are open. Since fish oil supplements seem to help, further changes to your diet may help further...more fresh veggies, nuts, fruits, a juicy slice of salmon, etc., and limit sugars, gluten and dairy.
You may also want to try a LipiFlow, and do blinking exercises like these every 20 minutes:

Hokucat i asked about that and I got told it wouldn't be much use because of mild dry eye and my oil glands are open. The fish oil helps a bit, I'll try my diet changing. I might go back and just wonder if there's anything else I can do, pretty annoying its not back to normal.
