  • Inflamed upper lids

My upper lids have been inflamed for a while now. Do you know who to reduce inflammation.

I have been doing warm compress. No success.
Combination of warm and cold. No success.
Should I start doing cold compress. If yes, for how long and how many time?

May I ask what medications you’re on and what drops you use?

What brand night ointment are you using? I’m sllergic to the lanolin in most brands. It really makes my lids “buzz” when I wake up and my stomach hurts from the drainage. I can only use Bausch and lombe soothe pm.

I was allergic to restasis too, so don’t discount being allergic to anything you put in you eye, even your otc drops or the xiidra.

Also, how far apart are you spacing the warm and cold compress? I did them too close together once and my lids swelled like someone injected fluid into them.

I am using Ocinux. It is a candian brand.

I have been been taking xiidra for 3 month. Can I develop allergies midway.

And good point. I did warm compress last night and just immediately I did cold. Maybe that exacerbated the inflammation but I know i had this lid inflammation for a while.

Yes! Make sure they use corneal shields and they can do upper and lower lids. My latest theory on IPL is that it somehow reduces inflammation, via reducing dilated blood vessels. See this YouTube channel:

from Doctor Periman. Check out her twitter and IPL protocol as well.

                        Hi ebi
                        lid hygiene
The best combination, in my view is, pure HOCL, like Avenova to control bacteria overgrow (actually recommended by many doctors in USA) and tea tree oil product especially for rosacea.

you can find more info from the forum or watch videos from Avenova at youTube.

                          Hi
I clean my lids with with tea tree oil every night.

I also use blephagel strill every morning. not for the last week as I am not sure if it does anything.

I have been taking Azithromycin for a week and since I stopped I can see my eyes are giving me more problems

I don’t think Avenova is available in Canada. Do you know and substitute for it that does not require prescription?

Since you're Canadian, checkout these doctors, especially if you are in the GTA see Dr Richard Maharaj, he's really good:
                            http://dryeyetoronto.com/dry-eye-specialists.html

Definitely get on IPL to reduce inflammation.

Yes I have my first IPl scheduled Sep 22. It is supposed to be good for Rosacea.

I see that you are a partial blinker. Do you think blinking exercise helped you at all?
