  • Sodium Chloride

Has anyone used Sodium Chloride 5,85% ? I read the forum and only found that sodium chloride 0,9% and Muro-128 (sodium chloride 5%) were used.

I think there might be a problem with too much saline being hyperosmolar, contributing to inflammation and eye surface cell changes http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3889657/ (PubMed search 'eye osmolarity saline')

We did use Minims individual vials of sodium chloride 0.9% in addition to lubricant eyedrops occasionally to reduce the frequent chemicals when we needed to wet the eyes more than 6/day, but natural tears contain so many other lubricating, protective and nourishing components we need to replicate somehow.
