Upper plugs - what’s the next step?

i currently have both temp lower and upper plugs. STILL NO OVER TEARING!!! Feel no improvement, I must be severely aqueous deficient. The weird thing is most of my glands are working (some capped) and mild bleph

whats my next step? Sclerals ?

When I had temp plugs put it, it didn’t seem to do much for me, so I had permanent ones in and they seem to be better.
Just maybe something to try

You can also get two different types of plugs which I didn't know. There's the total occluders ( which don't let any tears through) and you have the small flow or something like that and they let some tears pass. I had to change to the total occluders which worked wonders

Plugs at best can help you symptomatically , however they won't fix (and can possibly hurt) your underlying disease.

You need to find the root of your dry eyes, and from your pervious posts it sounds like you have MGD. Have you tried things like antibiotics yet? For example, Azyter (topical azithromycin) or oral azithromycin can do wonders for many MGD patients.

You need to figure out the root of the problem, get a good diagnostic before you can get good treatment.

Mate, I agree with deep_dry_eye here.

You need far more information, the normal 15 minutes outpatient appointment at the local hospital isn't going to do a proper deep dive into your root causes.

I get no over tearing in my bad eye despite two plugs.

What do you know about your condition? Who have you seen?

SirDryEye my lower tear ducts are cauterised but I have upper plugs in to!

Honestly, I just think that some people do not overtear. When I yawn, my tear meniscus is like a third of my eye, yet no tears come out. I blink a few times and it is gone.

What is your TBUT?
