  • Double/Ghost vision

So I'm going on 17 days post Superficial Keratectomy and my vision was changing from day to day but now it's been about the same for the past 5 days or so. So currently my vision is still blurry, but my main issue has been how distorted lights are. I currently see double or what you would call ghost vision with the double image appearing on top. Also when it comes to lights, there is a halo of fog around lights with a double image appearing above. This has been very frustrating especially at night with headlights and traffic lights. my question is how many of you experienced this or something similar to this with your vision post cornea surgery. Also did it clear up and go back to normal, and after how long? My vision tends to be slightly better when I first wake up, but as they day goes on my eye is fatigued making it harder to focus with the blurry vision. My case is even worse because this is my only good eye as I'm completely blind in my right eye. Anyone's personal experience is highly appreciated.

sanar2007 did this ever improve for you. I recently had this done in my left eye and after 7 days I can barely read the screen. When I had this done in my right eye about 2 months ago I was able to read the screen around day 5. If I recall it improved till about 2 weeks and stopped. I had to go back to my stronger 2012 prescription to help eliminate the remaining ghosting in that eye. I already have 2012 prescription now in my left.

I wanted to follow up on my posting. My vision in the left eye did improved just was a week longer then my right eye. My vision to date still has some smearing/ghosting from time to time but its not near as noticeable as before procedure. I feel some of it is due to tear film. I am done with appointments and have to use Muro 128 until February as the cornea fully heals and Anchors. I also obtained a new prescription due to axis change of astigmatism post procedure. Overall my vision is better then pre procedure with the Ghosting... my eyes still have normal bad vision they always had in general .
