  • Anyone in Asia?

Probably a long shot, but I lived in Laos for sometime and I’m planning on going back there in December, possibly long term.

Just wondering if anyone here is based in maybe Thailand or China? I know that Laos isn’t going to have any dry eye clinics, but I’ve read that the hospital in Bangkok does.
Im currently having IPL and using Ikervis, does anyone know if I can get ikervis in Asia. I wouldn’t mind traveling every so often for prescriptions or treatments. Just don’t want to slip back to where I was before.

I was living in Guangzhou before my eyes became terrible and I moved back with family in the USA.

I think Hong Kong has IPL but not the Toyos type. Its the European kind with the 3 treatments within a few weeks. Less zaps per time on the eyes/face.

Drugs you could probably get in HK. But im not sure.

I purchase a cyclosporine drop from a compounding pharmacy in the usa. The drop is called Klarity-C. Its $50 for about 5 weeks of drops. They mail 3 bottles at a time to me. Maybe you could get that?

Thanks I’ll have a look at Hong Kong options!
The klarity-c sounds interesting, I’ll have to do some more investigating

Sorry, can't help with the question. But I remember you posting a while back that there was no way you could do this travel..

Glad things have changed enough that it's become a possibility again!

Meibum Ian thanks! It’s still very much up in the air, but I’m trying to be more hopeful and don’t want to miss out on life because of it!
Milo007 hello! Do you have good treatment options in India?

Yes but unfortunately only one place in India has very good facilities, equipments and doctors when it comes to dry eyes.

              It's "Narayana Nethralaya" in Bangalore.

Understood. Good that it's even on the table, though! The high temperatures, high humidity and low winds there should help also.

Meibum Ian I mentioned it to my dry eye specialist I’ve been seeing and his response was “it will be nice and humid!”
I’m really hoping to go, now I just need the flight money! Always something haha
