Eye lash poking inner eye

I constantly have eyelashes that poke into my inner corner of my eye. I have had them plucked before - but I will like to know if anyone has successfully been able to get the eyelash to change direction.

background: My MGD/Bleph is pretty much in control - I'm red, I'm dry - but it's been pretty good - except for the darn inside corner eyelashes. I use rice bag, warm compress 2x a day, careful wash with cotton balls and q-tips, no drops - can't tolerate them, I take Omega 3 fish oil and daily vitamin)- but lately this eyelash has been driving me to distraction. Yes - I have tried to pluck this one out myself - but it is in such a bad angle I can't get to it safely. I tried my antibiotic ointment prescription - hoping that would help - it didn't.

note: Hate to go to the opth - they always load me up with drops that take days to recover from. Also - many times the drops Dr's put in "pin" the eyelash back temporarily - then the Dr states nothing wrong (and nothing else they can do for me).

Update: I have gradually changed my daily cleaning process - the inner misdirected lashes are still a problem but not as bent as they were. What I am doing differently now is not holding the warm rice baggy to my lids. I now lean over a chair - holding the rice bag to my brows and loosely holding the baggy close to my lids without pressing for 2 minutes (I cut down the time). Still do this every morning and evening after cleaning with warm cotton balls and q tips. Not sure if the I "pressed" the eyelashes in the wrong direction or if I was simply drying out the lids too much with the heat.

Update: Despite careful management my eye-lash is now back to major poking - it's flipped over into the corner of my eye - driving me absolutely to distraction. Anyone have any ideas (short of going into the Dr's office - which I really want to avoid, their office will put in drops which will temporarily stick the eye lash back - and he will say I have no problem - I have gone in twice before with the same result, I'm just not up to going a 3rd time)

Did you ever resolve this? It happens to me and I try to pull them out, but they are so blonde and thin it's impossible for me to do.

could be a sign of floppy eyelid syndrome and/or obstructive sleep apnea.

I don't know if you have solved this yet, but I was talking to a friend who said that they had several eyelashes removed by laser treatment in hospital because they were growing in towards the eyeball and scratching it. Could that work for you?

Keely, so good of you to suggest. I will ask my Dr. next time I go in if this is possible. I will come in with pictures of my problem - he thinks there isn't a problem because by the time I see the Dr., the assistants have put tons of drops in my eyes which temporary "glue" the offending eyelashes away from my eyeball. I've asked for the assistants not to put in the eyedrops, but they do it anyway. Ugg!
