How the palpebral conjunctiva look like in healthy eyes...

It's worth to note they should be light pink and not reddish when pulled slightly down.

A lot of people including myself are unsure of what a normal palpebral conjunctiva should look like. So this might help identify signs of inflammation in your ocular surface.

Relating to looking at the inside of the lower eyelid, is it normal to have dark lines running up to the rim of the eyelid. I assume these lines/ridges are the meibomian glands

I have always noted whitish or light yellowish appearance of the meibomian glands when seen through the conjunctiva of the palpebra.
