Hi,
I have an appointment coming up tomorrow and I was wondering what the different causes of for eyelash and eyebrow loss are, as I want to make sure nothing is overlooked. I have lost probably about half of my eyelashes, and a small part of my eyebrow. Every day I lose more lashes and brow hairs. Most days I get at least one eyelash in my eye.
I have read that demodex is one possible cause, and I'm going to be checked for that.
I have also read this can be a symptom of lupus.
Is it ever the case that blepharitis on its own causes severe lash loss (in people who don't have either of the above)?
Is there anything else I should be looking at as a possible cause?
