Since I've got both the eye and sinus things going on:
This week, I'm going to buy "bromelain" and start taking about 1,000mg of it a day. [1,2,3]
I've done a little bit of looking around and it looks like a pretty safe, pretty potent anti-inflammatory that comes from the pineapple tree.
In SOME tests, it seemed to do a great job of reducing the inflammation that underlies chronic rhinosinusitis. It's theorized that it may well provide some relief for ocular inflammation, too. Take on an empty stomach for its anti-inflammatory properties.
I'd suggest that anybody considering this do a few minutes of their own research, but ... I'm pretty big on things that MIGHT help and CAN'T (translation: are highly unlikely to....) hurt right now.
