Long term lotemax use to treat damaged corneal nerves?

Hi, I have been using lotemax once per day for 4 months since I was told it was the only way to treat damaged corneal nerves (combined with serum drops)

I'm very worried about it since I've read that using it long term is dangerous

I've been getting my eye pressure checked every 5 weeks. Is that enough to prevent any adverse effects?

They want me to keep using it 1x/day for another month and then maybe they will drop down the dose to 2x/week or stop it
