Hey everyone,
I've been struggling with a complete blockage in my right tear duct for three years now. It gets annoying because I have to keep wiping my tears, even when I’m talking to people. The doctors say the only fix is DCR surgery. I’ve been holding off on the surgery because I’ve heard some pretty scary stories about serious complications from DCR. But lately, my eye has been getting infected a lot more, which is making me rethink the whole thing.
I’m leaning towards endoscopic DCR since I’m worried about getting scars from the external DCR. But I’ve heard that endoscopic DCR doesn’t always work as well. Has anyone had this surgery and can share their experience? Or if you’re dealing with something similar, please reply so we can talk about it.
Thanks!
