Hello,
I visited my local dry eye specialist today and we did three tests. The tear osmolarity test told me I’m in the high 260s in one eye and low 280s in the other, and they seemed to suggest the result isn’t bad. The lipiview basically told me I’m incomplete blinking, and my partial blink is so low that the system registered zero partial blinks. It also told me I have partial gland loss, and that my tear film isn’t great. I had a measurement of 57 nanometers in one eye on the tear film test. The last test we did was the inflammadry test. After the inflammadry came back, the doctor came in and looked behind a lamp at my news. Then he prescribed a steroid drop to clear that inflammation. I’m due to come back next month, what sorts of questions would you ask during the follow up? I’m concerned about long term, how I can make sure the inflammation doesn’t come back after the steroid wears off.
