  • Fingers crossed??

After 16 months torture with what was supposed to be dry eyes, initially my left eye, 4 I think visits to eye specialists in RVH Belfast seen by a different person every time each one said you got erosions the last specialist said I think you have a virus in your eyes so I started a treatment with anti viral creams amd steriod drops ten days ago, bingo no pain and no sawdust/sandpaper for the first time in months my vision is improving along with my temper so fingers crossed the last specialist was right.

Do you have the Herpes Zoster virus? That's treatable. I hope the relief lasts for you!

      Belfast

      Hi Mikey,

Glad to hear of your relief. I am from Belfast too. Who did you attend in the RVH? (i.e. who was the last one who seems to have diagnosed correctly?)

      All the best,

      - Seamus

        Hi MikeG and Seamus
Two people from Belfast !! Cant believe my luck
        I am from NI too
Mike - which opthalmic specialist did you see?
I got my DE from a viral infection 10mths ago
It seemed to respond to doxycillen - but now its not working as much
I wonder if anti viral creams would be my answer too - HOW I WISH
DO LET US KNOW YOUR SPECIALIST AND I FOR ONE WOULD GO PRIVATELY
        Thanks and cheers
        Stella
