  • Insomnia and Dry Eye

    Hi All:

It is Saturday so I bet most people aren't online Resting those peepers on the wknd! Anywho I was wondering if there a correlation between insomnia and dry eye. Since my dry eye onset I have become an insomniac which I know is doubly bad for my dry eye. I know insomnia and depression are related which I defintely have and am just beginning to treat. Anywho wondering if this has been a common thing for dry eye suffers (depression I know) but insomnia as well?

    Have a great wknd!

My sleep troubles worsened after I began to wake up with eyeballs stuck to eyelids. I developed a fear of not being able to open my eyes and dreaded going to sleep. But I'm doing better now with tranquileyes.

I swear by keeping a humidifier near my bed at night. It does help a great deal - even when I wear and eye mask.
