Hello. I posted a question about having ointment that clogged my oil glands. Does anyone know if this ointment can do permanent damage to your oil glands. For example if you used to much and it burn them for life?
It was: Floxal ointment: ofloxacin (active substance), viscous paraffin, wool fat, white vaseline.
I used this in July. And my eyes have yet to recover?

i would doubt that the ointment clogged your glands. i would bet your condition is probably not related to the ointment at all. it may have aggravated your problems, but is probably not the sole cause.

I am thinking it is becasue I never had this until that. I used the antibotic ointment at night for 14 days. Never used tear stuff or anything.....
