Interesting link between nose picking and blepharitis problems:

"He said that treating children could be challenging because they often have
unhygienic habits such as picking their nose. On the other hand, children can be easier to instruct than adults. "“In kids, it's easy to have a discussion and
say, 'Don't pick your nose.' It's tougher in adults, but you need to do it,”" he said to a laughing audience" - J McCulley "Topical antibiotics should play only
    short-term role in chronic blepharitis"
    ---------------
Further to this I have found some references to "obstructive MGD" and "non-obstructive MGD". In my case I use warm compresses which, although feel soothing, do not seem to make anything happen toward removing congealed lipids - pointing to non-obstructive problems.

    Regards,

Fantastic news. I will stop picking my nose from today and no more dry eyes! To think that the last 15 years of hell have been self inflicted! It will be tough to give it up....but no more dry eyes should be a good incentive.

    Thank you.
