  • Dhea-s

    Hi,

Has anyone had their DHEA-S levels checked? If so could you tell me if they were below normal, or low normal? I am still thinking that menopause is the cause of my dry eye. My bioavailable testosterone was normal but very low and my DHEA-S was normal, but on the low end.

    Thanks.

    Hi there!

I had my levels tested a couple of weeks ago, and my result was 3,7 (normal is from 6,6 - 30). I have autoimmune issues (rheumatoid arthrisis, hyperthyroidism and rheumatoid arthrisis). I'll bring the test to my eyedoctor the next time I am going there, and ask what he thinks... Maybe I should try DHEA-drops? I don't know. I feel I know too little about the subject to know if those drops could so something for me or not.

    Greetings, Toril

      units of measure

      Hi Toril,

I am not sure what the units of measure are on your test. Mine are uL/dL and my result was 46 which is considered normal. (normal range 35-430 uL/dL)

I can't seem to find good information about whether a result that is normal can still be considered low or not.

      Thanks.
