Extra Long eyelashes

Hi all this may seem absurd, but I have extremely long eye lashes, so long that they constantly scrape on my glass lens, and have been doing so most of my adult life. I have had dry eye for a year now and suffer from incomplete lid closure at night. My OD also told me that I may not be closing my eyes fully during a regular blink....this would obvisouly affect the tear film. I am begining to think that my long lashes scrapping on my glasses are preventing a full blink? Im not sure if its possible to trim your eyelashes?

why not I suppose but maybe get a friend with a very steady hand to do it, or a beautician? they'd be used to being precise and as they dye eyelashes might be a good person to ask as they'd have an idea of what length still looks ok.
