I saw some more glasses yesterday at another Walmart. They were called driving glasses. They were not sunglasses, but did have a tint to them. I'm not sure how much the tint would bother you, but I think that trying something like them would be worth the $10 or so you'd spend. Lucy

Drier Eyes in the Evening/odd feeling

Hi Janedoe,
The "windy feeling" is familiar to so many of us! I hadn't heard of the "menthol sensation" until coming here, but it really feels like the eyes are cold (presumably due to evaporation and dryness).
I'm not "recommending" anything here, just mentioning something else -- when you had the collagen plugs, did you have 2 or 4? Where were they placed?
For home, I got the Onion Goggles that Rebecca has in the DES. I wear glasses, and they don't fit over them, but they're fine for me when I need to do close-up work or computer stuff, as long as I don't need to see far away. They keep out most if not all air -- They're pretty cheap, too (but they look kind of silly on me)
I also took the advice of the awesome people on here and got Dwelle and Dakrina -- they're possibly the best drops I have tried -- everyone's eyes are different. I have also found that warm compresses or using Tranquileyes in the evening or at night helps with comfort.
I think we all know about crying due to this condition -- and those tears aren't the kind we aim for! As far as cooking goes, I like making pasta so I can stand near the pot of boiling water and enjoy the moist air! Heehee.
Seriously, though - stay strong and keep looking for an answer!Shoey
