  • Acid tears?

Lately I have something strange in that my tears are really toxic feeling. When my eyes water and they run down my face I get very sore wherever they have touched my face. They actually seem to burn my skin. Does anyone else have this?

    no ,never

    That's strange.
But after those bad tears dry up, do you see some white powder on the corner of the eyes?
I got that. When I tear at night, I got those things.

Yes, I have extremely sensitive skin and in the past my tears have 'burned' a red channel in my cheek! I think it's just the salt.

My excess tears make my skin feel chapped. Toxic tears. It could be the excess salt...who knows. One thing I am sure of is if I'm having a comfortable eye day, my eyes water a whole lot less than they do on a bad. On bad days I blot (I'm cauterized in all four punctae) almost constantly. I don't blot near as much on a good day.

Clearly, quality of tears and not quantity is what what determines comfort.
