  • When does ur Dry eyes feel better?

    Hello all!
I wanted to ask you guys, when does ur eyes feel better and what were u doing at that time?

Well, for me, I noticed that when I eat a bowl of hot/warm food my eyes go moist.
In air conditioned room where the temp is switched to Cool.
When the weather is sunny but yet not sooo hot - rather cloudy with some sunlight..
When there's a cyclone nearby - raising up the humidity..
When its windy but very humid
If I have to choose between being happy and sad, I''ll choose being happy....... and you?... so.... stop choosing being unhappy (yeah its hard but....)....stop depressing........ live!!!

I feel best after a hot shower or a hot compress.
Much better with my Synergyes contacts in rather than out (I can get miserable with them out of my eyes).
When I have a humdifier going in the room.
If I am outside on a humid day.
    When I wear sunglasses.
When I drink lots of water.
If I have had enough rest.
    When I feel good emotionally.

My eyes feel best in the shower, or on a very rainy day. They feel worst in air conditioning, on an air plane, when any fans are running or any wind blowing. When humidity is down and allergens are up, it is bad also. First thing in the morning when I wake up is another bad time, especially if I had the ceiling fan running all night. Most of the time is a bad time, including computer time.
Every day with DES is like a box of chocolates...You never know what you're going to get.

I also find that anything that relaxes me is very beneficial. A short nap, a hot relaxing bath, doing something enjoyable, a nice massage or back rub, all contribute to lessening of my symptoms.

          I feel better when:
          1. Giant sunglasses (good thing they're in style!)
          2. Hot showers are the quickest relief I get
          3. Naps, rest, a full night's sleep
          4. High humidity areas
          5. Weekends!!!

My eyes feel best when I am not using the computer.

Gee, Rebecca, that's kinda like hating water and deciding to be a fisherman!

A shower always helps when I'm in pain.

I feel best when I put my tranquileyes on at bedtime, with the heated up thermoeyes pads.
Lots of warm water splashing my face and eyes –a very messy face washing. (Have lots of towels ready to clean up after.)
Now, the joy of walking on the beach while wearing Panoptx. Love the moisture, no more problem with the wind!
When I can be distracted enough by something I’m doing to forget how much my eyes bother me. (I’ll have to start keeping track of what these things are…)

                  Thanks for this thread!

Redbirdi--this is a sign you're making progress!! It's even better when you don't realize until later that "you forgot about your eyes." If needed, sometimes, I'll do something on purpose to distract myself. Lucy
