A Question (another one!)

Hmm not sure... I get a weird feeling with restasis sometimes in my right eye. Some drops like dwelle do make my lashes feel weird but I don't use that anymore.

Bubbles are created form an unstable tear film and may be from MGD.

How do you know one gland in particular gives you problems? I have a white pimple on the inside of my upper and lower eye lid, close to the nose...is this the sort of thing you are talking about?


Would you have any idea how many glands we have on our lids? I read that 75% are on the top and 25% are on the bottom.

Well, I am just super familiar with that gland. It use to not bug me as much when it was worse but as it gets better or in my case now, worse I can feel it more. I have a similar feeling for the middle of my right lower lid too but it is not nearly as pronounced. You should be able to see it then just try to compress the hell out of it and after you're done pop it (it should already be popped though then wipe it away.)

I can pop them without even doing a compress but they go right back to being clogged...

Best thing is to get them unclogged then don't let them clog again. You can minimize how many compresses you need to do then and everything.

As far as the glands that sounds right to me, think like 30 on the bottom and 60 on the top?

Yes those two then are nice big pimples...like serious teenage white pimples.

I do compress them but I just don't seem to be able to get my fingers anywhere near my lids in such a way that I could pop them. I seem to be all thumbs when I go near my eye lids. Cotton buds/Q tips don't do the trick, but I can't get in there to sqeeze them. I will try and do a really long compress this weekend.

I don't know if you can answer this question but I am also plugged top and bottom, as I was not producing tears post Lasik, though I am now...yes a victory. I think I read a post on this site that plugging wasn't good for MGD suffers as the bad stuff has no where to go.

If I remember Acoral has one or two of those white pimples in the same place as me.

I find though that was is giving me serious pain relief is the rice bag. i carry it every where with me and as I only have one "bad eye" I walk around with it stuck to my eye at least once an hour. I want to get a head start on the pain before it starts to really bug me.
