Many, many thanks, Rebecca and others --

To my surprise, e-mail greetings from the Dry Eye Zone came at 12:07 am this morning; then an e-card arrived at 12:49 am from my good buddy "lucy". . . followed by e-mails and Private Messages during the day. Thank you one and all!

Two grandchildren (ages 1 and 5) are arriving tomorrow to take me, "GrandMary," to birthday dinner. The next morning GrandMary will take them to a wonderful local family-focused amusement park (Knoebels Grove, between Catawissa and Elysburg, Pennsylvania). If the parents -- one of whom is my son -- promise to behave themselves, I'll probably let them tag along!

Am feeling a lot better, in part because I was allowed to go off the vile medicine which was robbing me of saliva. I intend to get back to posting and to e-mailing you-all next week after the family gets back on the road. Hope all our USA friends on DEZone are enjoying the long Labor Day weekend; do drive safely, wear your goggles, and don't forget to bring extra eyedrops to your cookouts!

We in the UK don't have a labour day this weekend, we had our last "bank holiday" for the year last weekend so it is back to the grind stone for most of us. Me personally - I am off to Oz for 3 weeks very soon to catch up with my family, can't wait.
