  • Improve computer screen readablily with Cleartype!

    Hi everyone,

Do you have problems working behind a computer screen like me? Well, there is a simple tool availably that can improve the readabily of letters on the computer screen. It is called Cleartype and was developed by Microsoft.

It's especially useful if ur using Windows XP. It's standard on Vista, but you can still change the settings to ur liking on Vista.

You can read about how it works here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleartype

If you just want to install Cleartype on ur computer follow this link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/typography/...ner/Step1.aspx

If you want to download and install the Cleartype tuner on ur XP-machine simply follow this link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/typography/...ePowerToy.mspx

This tool will almost certainly improve the readabily of letters on your screen, so if you haven't installed it yet, do so!

It has certainly helped me as a MGD-suffer. If you suffer from MGD your tears evaporate more quickly due to the lack oils in year tear film. This evaporation effect is especially noticable when working behind a computer screen due to a reduced blink rate (staring). With Cleartype reading from a computerscreen comes closer to reading on paper, but not nearly close enough ofcourse ;-)

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy New Year!!!

    Greetings,
    Bart
