The lacriserts are definitely available in the US. Ask your doctor for a sample. They work wonders for me.
As for insurance, I'm not sure if they are covered or not.
I know for me they are quite expensive. My husband is self employed, and we do not have the best insurance.
Glad to hear your cauterization has worked well for you. I am thinking of getting plugs some time in the future.
