Unfortunately it's to the point where even though I love the seasons mentioned in the title I dread them due to the light sensitivity in my eyes. I keep looking for answers or help other than eye drops but nothing except Restasis which didn't provide any relief or suggestions for OTC eye drops.
I'm not sure if the problem is due more to my Traumatic Brain injury (TBI) than just dry eyes. I'm trying to find a specialist who is familiar with vision problems.

They seem to be few and far between.

    I'll stop complaining

Having the same problem. Extreme sensitivity to light! It's terrible really. Hope we'll find a cure one day!

curbdiver: I just sent an e-mail to what I hope is your correct e-address. Am about to re-send it via Private Message here.

annamarg: I see that you are new here. I'm glad that you found this Bulletin Board.
At the very least, you will find a good community of people who do understand what you are going through.
And collectively we are working really hard to help one another learn about all sorts of options as we search for our cures!

Thank you mary! Yes it's really comforting to find others in the same situation and to exchange experiences and advice. (Didn't receive any e-mail from you so maybe something wrong or just ended up in my spam box and deleted it by mistake).
        Take care!

          Hi,

I had extreme photophobia, so badly that I had to dim my computer monitor. My problems also happened to begin during the longest days of the year, go figure. I found that Polarized lenses were the best bet for me. Although I have a high prescription number, and they were really expensive, the relief that they gave me while I was outside is terrific and well worth it.

Is it just daylight that affects you, or is it light indoors, too? I know a lot of dry-eye sufferers who have problems in bright indoor places, like big supermarkets.

Have any of you experienced a muscle twitch around your eye as a response to photophobia? That was one of my symptoms, and it was really distracting and frustrating.

I hope that you find something that works well for you!
