  • painful new glaucoma drops- any advice?

Yesterday I saw my opthamologist who noticed my pressure was up in one eye. He has prescribed Timolol drops which I have taken once before after prednisone drops caused my pressure to increase. I find the drops incredibly painful though and the opthamol. even mentioned in front of his intern that the Timolol will be "counterproductive" to my Restasis. (He can be a real dork.)
Have any of you ever found relief from a different type of glaucoma drop? The opthamologist didn't have any other ideas but I find if I research something and bug him about it, he will make changes.
    Thanks to my fellow self-advocates!

    Glaucoma drops

I too found that Timolol was painful. Similarly Cosopt. I have now been prescribed Iopodine and that it wonderful, does not sting at all and appears to work.

    Anything is worth a try.
