Dear all,
I just now saw the news report about the tragic death of Jeff Gilbard, founder of Advanced Vision Research (the Theratears company). He was 55.
Dr. Gilbard was one of the top pioneers in the world of dry eye treatment and made huge contributions to the field. There is an excellent tribute in this article about his background and achievements.
I would like to invite those of you who have benefited from Dr. Gilbard's products (e.g. Theratears, TheraTears Nutrition, etc) & research or who have been his patients to share how he helped you. His passing is a huge loss to the profession and to all of us patients.

i got hit by dry eye earlier in the year and started taking Theratears Nutrition 3 times a day about 4 months back-my condition touch wood fingers crossed has definitely improved-i can still feel the dryness but it's bearable-so much so i haven't been using drops lately.i'm putting it down to Mr Gilbard's product.R.I.P.
