Shallow Probing

My doctor uses a 1mm probe when he does the procedure out of fear of the greater chance of scarring by going deeper. Has anyone had such a shallow probe done before with good results. Expression does very little for me since he is not able to get hardly anything out of my glands...Max

I haven't had this done so I'm probably not much help to you.

Great to have a doctor on board who will try this out with you. That is good in itself. I can't think of one medic in Ireland who would attempt such a procedure with me. I'd like to try it.

Does your doctor numb your lids before this procedure?

I'm sure he would. He numbs my lids even when expressing them
