Post ipl

Hi there,

I have my first treatment of IPL last Thursday at the Dry eye Clinic in London. All was fine but I woke up on Saturday with a red, sore and discharging right eye- quite similar to that of an infection. Is this normal ? The other eye is fine. I have brought some chloramphenicol but it has yet to cleared up . I have e-mailed the clinic this morning.

Agreed. Maybe the A&E at an eye hospital if you have one nearby?

What was the colour of discharge?

I am sorry to hear this, did you have your glands expressed by the doctor after the IPL?

Hey... Its all cleared up now thank god. I was starting to panic... a lot. Yes I had my glands expressed after the IPL session. I have my next IPL next Thursday. My eyes do feel better.
