Hi everyone, my name is Bob, I'm 41 and live in UK.
My problems first started when I had a virus in february last year, which I think was adenovirus. The virus got into my eyes and I had antibacterial drops, it cleared pretty quickly and I thought nothing of it, 2 weeks later I went to...

Cannot cry tears
Hi
In the last 10 years since I've had blepharits/MGD, I've noticed that I cannot cry tears (the emotional sort). Does anyone else have the same problem?
When I am chopping onions though, I can cry reflex tears.
I think the Accutane I was on damaged or clogged the meibomian glands....

Doxycycline, am I doing it wrong?
So the first time I tried doxy, I was on 100mg a day and my eyes cleared up in a matter of days. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks, my eyes were back to normal.. and I thought that was the end of it. Doxy was not the cure.

I'm doing warm moist...

Debris in meibomian secretions
Hi everyone,
I noticed while doing hot compresses recently that when I apply pressure to the glands lots of oil comes out, the oil seems to be clear and as it should be upon first inspection but then when I blink lots of little (mainly white) particles and lumps travel across my eye surface,...

Referral to an Ophthalmologist Skilled in Meibomian Gland Dysfunction
I'm not an eye doctor. For the past two months I've had increased tears, never enough to run over my cheeks. I've been to three optometrists and three Ophthalmologists from San Francisco to San Jose, California. Not one of the eye doctors agreed on a treatment, but they all said via slit lamp...

Welcome from Non-Inflammatory MGD!
Well, I like to keep things short and sweet and rarely take "no" or "can't" for an answer.
I recently have been waking up with dryish eyes. Dryish meaning just that where they ache to an extent and then tears begin. I have been reading this board for about a month...
