can plaquenil make eyes drier? ive been on it for about 2 years..

ive been on plaquenil for over 2 years now ... my eyes have def not gotten any better but are they worse? i dont know..

i read on a few things online that plaquenil could cause dry eyes// ??

just curious if anyone else on here is on plaquenil and if so, did it help your eyes??? or make them worse? or did they stay the same?

The sjogrens site has posts relating to this (is that okay Rebecca to mention that?). I know some have said that they feel it has modified the disease enough to help with the eyes but others mostly say it does not alter anything. I have also read of one site that states plaquanil can make them drier. I suppose in the right person any med can worsen a condition but generally I have not read of anyone who feels it has worsened them. I find it pretty ineffective and as it does not really help I am reluctant to risk any long term damage to the retina. Just my humble opinion, remember others have really been helped by this.
