  • Tear film floaters - advice needed

Hello. I've been diagnosed with dry eyes that my doctor thinks is due to breadtfeeding. My biggest problem is floating debris in my tear film that I can't get rid of. I've been using drops for two weeks but the 'floaters' remain. I've been checked out at the hospital who have confirmed the floaters aren't actually in my eyes but n the surface. I suppose I just want to hear from others who've had this problem and who's 'floaters' eventually disappeared.

Hi! What drops did they give you? What did they think would cause 'floaters on the surface of the eye'? Have you been wearing contact lenses? Sorry, just noticed your post.

When I use some kinds of drops, it causes mucous strands and globs to be released or should I say "coagulate). There aren't too terribly many of them and I'm usually able to see them in the mirror sliding across the eye surface, so I can remove them. Quite a nuisance and uncomfortable.

Is the debris you have like strands or is it different?

I wonder if this is early stage undiagnosed fungal keratitis.
