Your example is classic. Your doctor recommended an anti-allergy medication because he thought it would help with a bacterial infection, and thereby unwittingly gave you a treatment that worked.

Forgive me if this sounds a bit harsh, but there was absolutely nothing unwittlingly about it. It showed an impressive knowledge of how the eye, blepharitis, and the mechanics of medicine work. I'm sorry if you went so long with undiagnosed allergies, but that's not the case with everyone.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion.

Thirthy minutes of cleaning gave me more relief than 3 years of steroids.

Unsure what you mean by this - thirty minutes of cleaning (your eyes ?? your house?? )

Sarcasm aside, I have been cleaning my eyes for years - and cleaning the house is a work in progress.
