I have been diagnosed with MGD but since seeing the Opthalmologist (UK) the nightly pain from sticking of eyelids to the Cornea has increased.
I use the MGD eye bag, cleansing and massaging of eyelids several times daily and am using Systane Eyedrops (preservative free) during the day and LacryLube ointment (preservative free) at night.
However the nightly/early morning incidences persist unless I manage to massage my eyelids before opening eyes - quite difficult if you are just waking!
Has anyone any further advice on how to deal with the pain and does this constant damage to the corneal surface do any lasting harm?
