Update on my 3year old with RCEs

Hi everyone. I know I haven't posted in a long while, but just wanted to give an update to the nice people who offered me encouragement and sound advice when dealing with my 3 year old who had corneal erosions due to corneal dystrophy. We bought the goggles & the rice bags. We had a wonderful fall 2008 with very few episodes, and now we are back on the roller coaster ride. It is effecting her daily life, and after a few visits to Cole Eye Institute and visiting corneal specialists, we have decided that we are going to try a corneal scraping, stromal puncture and possibly plugging the tear ducts. We are now just waiting on a opening in the pediatric operating room schedule. Please keep your fingers crossed!!!! I just asked that it not be next week since it will be her 4th birthday. Have any other children with RCE emerged lately?
