What does it mean when your MD says you have "scratches"?

My MD told me my eyes were improving and that I had less scratches. In the hussle of the appointment, I forgot to ask what he meant by this.

Does anyone know what that means?

It may mean corneal abrasions, which can be caused by an injury to the eye or RCE's (recurrent corneal erosions).

Can you explain a little more about why you are visiting the eye doctor and what your other symptoms are?
