So today my right eye (I NEVER have problems with my right eye btw), the outer corner to be exact started to feel really sore. Like, it hurts when I blink. The pain I can best desrcribe is the pain you feel if you've been punched in the eye and its swollen so it hurts to blink.
I actually thought my boyfriend may have hit my eye in his sleep but looking at it, I looked inside my lower lid and stuff, and its very red and irritated, it's also the slightest bit swollen. When I push on the outer corner, its a bit painful. It's not like deathly pain, but its annoying and its raising concern for me on whether this is something I need to call my cornea specialist (who I don't see till next thursday). I have no clue what this could be; is it an infection of some sort (which i hope not, I'm already getting a LOT of anxiety about this, are my glands blocked, maybe my boyfriend really did nail me in the eye while we were asleep.
I'm just not sure if this is normal for someone with dry eyes, I've heard of pain in the eye but I was under the assumption the eye pain was more nuerological (sp) and that the eye pain felt more like a head ache than actual pain and swollenness.
Any insight on this would be great and I figured if this pain doesn't subside in a few days, of course to call the doc, but as with all of us, our eyes are important; so if this is something I should be worried about I want to nip this in the butt as soon as i can to prevent further damage.
