Hi All-
So very little good to say about dry eyes. I went to Las Vegas for the 3rd or 4th time since my Lasik almost 8 years ago. I was there 5 days and the weather was most beautiful. 80-85, sunny, no humidity and NO WIND (not even a breeze). I brought all my eye stuff, glasses, drops, goggles etc.
My eyes actually felt decent most of the time I was there! I was in and out of casinos, on public transportation, saw a couple of shows etc. I may have used my drops less than normal. This was a pleasant surprise and I have no explanation for it. I have been using steroids for a month or so and just added Restasis but only a week prior--so much too soon for any improvement on that note. I've used Restasis twice before, once for 7 months with no improvement.
Whatever the case, LV was hospitable to my eyes. There was much less smoke than normal in establishments, but it was more than that. At home now, I'm back to normal with our heat on and I MUST get our ye' old humidifier and probably buy an additional one. I must say that I did the clean living thing while there, no smoking, no drinking, healthy eating (well as much as possible). I do those routinely now--so basically no change on my part.
I am not a millionaire, but spent only a couple of hundred bucks for food and gambling.
