Caroline - I have been wearing my Viento glasses everywhere I go -- work, store, parties for the last two years due to the severity of my dryness. Believe me it isn't the look I'd like to have but I have gotten some "cool" comments from the younger generation and had several other ladies experiencing dry eye ask me where I got them, so I felt like I was able to help someone else just by being seen in them.

Look for the positive -- it is there somewhere....and find a way to laugh at yourself if you can. Our company uses Microsoft Office Communicator for IM and there is a wonderful smiley with big dark glasses, so I have a new signature I get a laugh out of using.

    Best wishes!

      Thanks Bunny.

Good for you for wearing your glasses all the time if you need to! I think a lot of these glasses do look quite cool. Pop stars wear sunglasses all the time so they must be.

I've got my Sirocco CV day to night glasses now. I have been wearing them a lot in my house and garden without the foam bit as I haven't needed it. They are a little bit big as there is a gap at the top sides but i guess this stops it fogging up completely. As i've got day to night i can wear them indoors no problem and they have helped enormously to watch tv and read. Normally i'd be watching tv with one eye open with difficulty, now i don't think about it. I also think that i look ok in them. I got ones with a brown crystal frame, a friend of mine mistook them for an ordinary pair of glasses when he saw them laying around in my house. I guess they have a bit of a motorcycle glasses look so i'm wandering if i can get away with them in public indoor places, but if my eyes get dry i think i won't care and will wear them. I'm a little disappointed though that they do not go very dark in sunlight and offer no protection from sun glare. I was hoping to use them with the foam bit to wear for cycling. Anyway i think i'm going to buy another pair, maybe the Viento with a mirro like glass for cycling.

Thanks for your reply, best wishes.

        Hi Caroline-
I have a pair of Sirocco night to day Panoptx glasses/goggles. I'm wearing them in my avatar. I was outside when the pic was taken. I wear mine (they are prescription) if needed inside shopping, or in a smoky casino, going to the dr's office. If it was more formal, I can remove the foam and they look much like regular glasses. A little ala' Bono, but ok.

The Viento frame is quite a bit smaller than the Sirocco. I have a pair of sunglasses (non-rx) of the Viento. The vision isn't good with them because they are small and periphal vision is not good. My Sirocco's are also a little big on me. I'd order the Viento's only if you can return them if they don't fit.
