    My two cents

I have worn tranquileyes (sometimes wet and sometimes dry) for almost 5 years. They gave me the first good night's sleep I'd had in months. I'd been getting up during the night and going to the bathroom to keep from waking my husband up, in order to put gel in my eyes again. The gel would crust over most nights and I'd have to wash my eyes to open them fully. As you can guess, by the time I'd done all of this I was wide awake.

I found tranquileyes by doing a google search and desperate, I ordered the basic kit. I started using them wet over GenTeal gel (in the tube). Absolutely wonderful! The tranquileyes keep the gel wet.

Then when I went to order my next pair, I had difficulty navigating the website and ordering. Computer literate I'm not. So I picked up the phone and called and complained while ordering about their website being difficult to navigate. To my embarrassment I found later that it was my fault. But the CEO of the company personally phoned me to apologize and sent me some samples of the foam with my order. Since that time, I've grown to know her by web only and I have to say that she honestly wants to help the dry eye patient any way she can.

I have gone only one week without them. And it was because I was in the hospital with a broken back. Once conscious, I asked my husband to bring them to the hospital. But for the first week I could not care for the goggles so I tried a sleep mask. The gel got all in the mask and by the end of the week when I was allowed out of bed, the mask was all crusty inside. Not good. I was really glad when I could go back to the tranquileyes.

I have to say that as far as the care of my eyes, it has been the best money I've spent. I have Sjogren's and have very dry eyes. And I swear I'm not related in any way to anyone at the company. It's just my own personal experience.

Wow, now that's a good review for Tranquileyes, Silverlady.

I've decided that I'm going to order a pair of Tranquileyes - the Chronic Dry Eye Kit. This is due to all of the encouragement here and prodding from my boyfriend (and me needing more Dwelle and not wanting to pay two separate S&H ), so thank you all. I hope it works for me!

Now I just need to figure out what color...

Wow, SilverLady...I'll stop complaining about waking up with my eyes dried-shut after reading that you woke up from a broken back with dry eyes. Jeez. I certainly hope you're all better and feeling well. It's rather tellling what a problem dry eyes are if you can be lying in bed with a broken back and still be concerned about your eyes bothering you.
        All the best to you.

I just ordered the Economy Buster pack of Tranquileyes. I plan to give it the full 2-3 weeks before deciding if it works for me or not and will follow-up on my experience. I sure hope it helps!!
