OK, went for follow up appointment. Initially saw someone else instead, but after some tests I saw ophth:
- I reacted to either the flourescin or the anesthetic drops (be helpful if I can find out which)
- First schirmers test. No anesthetic. 10 in right, 9.5 in left.
- Tear film initially stable, but after anesthetic, left eye in particular very unstable
- temp plugs mentioned. I expressed wasn't sure whether this was a good idea due to potential inflamation problems making things worse. To consider.
- I have normal sized puncta
- No blockage or capping of MGs
Then saw Mr S:
- mebium still excessive
- No ingrowing eyelashes seen (not confident that there are no small hairs though)
- referred to anterior specialist (he's retinal)
- He mentioned a tear film specialist in Oxford? John somebody (need to find this out)
