In terms of milligrams, say if a fish oil capsule contains 2,000mg of 'fish oil'...that can be deceptive. You need to know how much EPA is in it...and it should be over 1000mg.
It's a funny thing, many get relief from flaxseed rather than fish oil. Flaxseed is a plant source of omega 3, but takes the body up to 2 weeks to convert to EPA, then the anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. Whereas, with fish oils, you get them directly, so they are far quicker.
